Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Sage Community School Board.
- Manage the general operation of the school.
- Define and help acquire resources needed to open the school: Fiscal, Facility, Human Resources
- Oversee the ordering of equipment, curriculum, and supplementary material
- Supervise the school’s education program.
- Assist in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum.
- Implement and observe all Board policies and regulations by the school’s staff and students.
- Report required information to the SCS and district school boards.
- Makes sure that all state and federal regulations and requirements are being followed.
- Supervise all certified and classified personnel attached to the school.
- Assist in recruiting, screening, hiring, training, assigning, and evaluating the school’s professional staff.
- Coordinate paraprofessionals with district.
- Assume responsibility for the safety and administration of the school facility.
- Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline as necessary according due process to the rights of students.
- Assume responsibility for the attendance, conduct, and health of students.
- Assist in the management and preparation of the school’s budget.
- Prepare and submit budget requests or grant proposals to solicit program funding
- Act as liaison between the school and the community interpreting activities and policies of the school, and encouraging community participation in school life.
- Recommend the contract renewal and non renewal of licensed and classified staff.
- Act as key spokesperson and liaison for community, media and school partners
- Maintain existing relationships and explore potential partnerships
Qualifications *
- Must support the Mission & Vision of SCS.
- Valid and appropriate educational license, state of Oregon preferred.
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
- Three years minimum teaching experience
- Licensed with Teachers Standards and Practice Commission
- Two years of administrative experience preferred.

- Belief that all students can learn and achieve at high levels
- Strong commitment and demonstrated ability to involve people in decision making

Responsibilities
- Assist Director with managing the general operation of the school;
- Assist in the responsibility for the safety and administration of the school facility;
- Act as liaison between the school and the community, interpreting activities and policies of the school, and encouraging community participation in school life;
- Assist with student supervision when necessary;
- Record data such as demographic characteristics, attendance records and multiple student records, and provide data to appropriate entities such as school district;
- Prepare and process business and government forms;
- Plan, develop, maintain and operate a variety of health record indexes and storage and retrieval systems to collect, classify, analyze and store information;
- Review records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with regulations;
- Release information to persons and agencies according to regulations;
- Resolve/clarify codes and diagnoses with conflicting, missing, or unclear information by consulting with teachers or others to get additional information;
- Protect the security of all records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained;
- Coordinate conferences and meetings;
